Improving Pain Control and Preempting Opioid-Induced Adverse Events

Purpose Statement
The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge of physicians, pharmacists, and nurses of opioid receptors and their impact on pain control and strategies to control adverse effects that opioids induce.

Target Audience
This activity has been designed for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists treating patients in pain.

ACCME This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of Medical Education Collaborative, Inc.
