Pain.com depends on the support provided in the form of educational grants and sponsorships to develop and provide the resources found within its site.
The following is our advertising policy that governs the acceptance and display of advertising and support for this website.
- Pain.com will have sole discretion for determining the types of advertising and support that will be accepted and displayed on Pain.com. All advertising shall comply with the laws and regulations of the United States of America.
- Under no circumstances will Pain.com’s acceptance of support for this website be considered an endorsement of the company or the product(s)/services that they provide.
- Pain.com retains the right to reject support of any kind, and will not accept support that, in Pain.com’s opinion, makes unsubstantiated claims of therapeutic benefit.
- Current and future supporters of Pain.com exercise no authority over the content that is developed and maintained on this website. The development and provision of all educational and informational content in all areas of Pain.com is the sole responsibility of thePain.com faculty, editorial staff, and its owner, Dannemiller.
- Commercial companies who support Pain.com are acknowledged by the placement of their company logo on the areas they support. In accordance with ACCME’s Internet Policy, a link from that company’s logo to its website is provided so that visitors can learn more about the supporter, if they so desire. Pain.com has established a window that will remind visitors that they are leaving Pain.com to enter a commercial website.
- Dannemiller, owner of Pain.com, has been an accredited sponsor of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) since 1984, and fully complies with the Essential Areas and Policies established by the ACCME in the planning, development, and presentation of all CME accredited activities offered on this website. Educational activities accredited by other accrediting organizations will fully comply with the guidelines and policies established by those organizations for their specialty.
- Educational material developed and placed on Pain.com with the support of a commercial company, including accredited programs, will provide proper disclosure to the participants about the support of the company, and the relationship, if any, of the author(s) to the commercial company who supported the activity.
