Headache Pain and Allergies
By Jannie Davis, Certified Nautropath
Have you ever experienced a headache or joint pain after eating a certain food? Most people don’t correlate this type of pain with what they eat; however, headaches and joint pain can sometimes be caused by food allergies.
One of the most common allergens that contribute to headache pain is dairy in any form – milk, butter, cheese, yogurt and ice cream. Eggs, sugar, corn, wheat and gluten can also cause food allergies.
Believe it or not, a common culprit of joint pain can be caused by something we all associate with being good for us – nightshade vegetables. Nightshade vegetables include potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant and peppers. Some people experience similar reactions from eating garlic and onion. NAET treatments can reverse allergies to these foods, often eliminating joint and muscle pain.
For people who suffer food allergy headaches, there is relief. The Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) was developed by Dr. Devi Nambudripad, a medical doctor, chiropractor and acupuncturist. NAET reverses food allergies, as well as other types of allergies, such as pollen, chemicals, perfumes or contactants, like latex gloves.
The NAET treatments consist of performing acupressure on certain acupuncture points along the spine. While receiving acupressure, the individual holds vials allergic substances. NAET reprograms the central nervous system, teaching the body that it is no longer allergic to the substance. For the most effective results, the individual needs to strictly avoid the substance causing the allergy for 25 hours after receiving treatment.
