Guided Imagery

Guided imagery is a technique that helps people with refocusing the imagination to a positive and self-confident state. In our culture, imagination is associated with the impractical and is not given its place on how significant it is to achieving goals.
It takes imagination to envision and affect new possibilities, and imagination can also extend into effects on physiology for the sake of healing. Guided imagery differs from hypnosis dramatically in that hypnosis is an implantation of suggestions from another person directly into a person’s relaxed state of mind. Guided imagery, on the other hand, is a healing modality that suggests that the mind/body has the ability to rejuvenate and heal itself.
If the mind/body is provided with the proper thinking, nutrition, exercise, faith and sobriety, a person is capable of anything. Guided imagery can be accomplished via an instructor, audio or scripts, and it works on the premise that mind and body are connected. Utilizing the power of imagination, guided imagery can be helpful to reduce stress-related physical ailments such as lowering blood pressure, it can assist with reducing or even eliminating pain, smoking cessation, and a host of other problems people experience.
